First of all, let me say congratulations to Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi, who is an award winning Radio/TV On-Air-Personality and show host, event MC & an entrepreneur who launched women’s shoe line on May 18th 2015 which she named Gbemisoke(get lifted) for women who wear size 42 upwards, the women’s shoe line consist of flats, pumps, & mules.
The On-Air-Personality was inspired to launch her own shoe line because she discovered that it was harder for women like her with larger sizes to find beautiful shoes, she sometimes had to buy shoes in smaller sizes & endured the pain she felt when she wore the shoes but she was happy in them because the shoes were pretty but that wasn’t the only issue because she stated she would see shoes retail at $130/#20,000 in Nigeria when they were around $30/#4500 overseas (I have to agree with her on this one as I always complained about the same issue but I guess we live in a country where almost everything is overpriced), Find pictures below

I’m very proud of Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi on becoming a shoe designer, adding that entrepreneurship side of her to her resume is definitely a great step, I’m very excited about this not because I’m a size 42 but because she is filling a huge gap for women with size 42 and up, it’s definitely a needed and welcome idea as it is very affordable & does look like it’s of great quality, what I would like to see though are more colours & more styles.
